FESPO, Switzerland’s largest holiday and travel fair, is returning in spectacular fashion after a three-year hiatus. With specialists for every continent on site, along with air travel and cruise operators, not to mention around 500 presentations, Messe Zürich will become the heart of the Swiss travel scene from 2 to 5 February 2023 – this year augmented by the special theme of "Freedom on four wheels".
Holidays Bern, FESPO and Golfmesse in Zurich are taking another hiatus, but confident about approaching formats in 2022
The BERNEXPO GROUPE has decided to postpone both the Holidays Bern fair (13 to 16 January 2022) and FESPO and Golfmesse in Zurich (27 to 30 January 2022) in the coming year due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation and its impact on the tourism industry. The live marketing company is optimistic that future formats – above all, the BEA spring trade fair – will be held next year.
FESPO and Golfmesse on hold until 2022
The FESPO and Golfmesse trade fair in Zurich, originally scheduled to take place in mid-January 2021, will be taking a break next year. Due to the latest developments of the coronavirus pandemic and after thorough examination of all options, the BERNEXPO GROUPE is eliminating uncertainty for its partners in the travel industry by postponing the event.
Swiss travel lovers refuse to let the Coronavirus stand in their way
From A for Algeria to M for Martinique all the way to Z for Zimbabwe: this year’s FESPO more than lived up to its motto “World of Travel”. From 30 January to 2 February 2020, around 600 exhibitors presented the world’s most beautiful destinations. Attendees appreciated the wide range of exhibitions and flocked to FESPO in large numbers – the event organiser BERNEXPO GROUPE reported more than 60,000 visitors.
Arabian Nights to mark 30 years
From 30 January to 2 February 2020, visitors of FESPO Zurich can once
more draw inspiration for their next trip. Those responsible for the travel platform have pulled
off a real coup: on the occasion of its thirtieth anniversary, special insights into the Arab world
will be provided for the first time with Ras Al Khaimah as a guest country.

Inspiration and excitement at FESPO 2019
Once again this year, FESPO lived up to its promises and delivered the whole world to visitors in one place: from 31 January to 3 February 2019, Messe Zürich welcomed representatives of more than 250 destinations and all seven continents along with around 65,000 visitors. Mongolia, this year’s guest country, attracted a great deal of attention in particular.

FESPO 2018 was an all-round success
This year’s FESPO, which took place at the Zurich Trade Fair site between 25 and 28 January 2018, more than lived up to its maxim of “The whole world in a single location”: no matter whether it was a relaxing holiday in the Caribbean, an adventure tour of Canada, or a journey of discovery through Romania – over the course of four days, the 600 exhibitors offered FESPO’s 65,000 visitors a diverse range of inspiration for their next holiday. A special highlight of the trade fair was the stand of the guest country, Romania, where the State Secretary whet the audience’s appetite for this mystical destination on the opening day.
